The Haldane Group has joined forces with several charities this year, spanning the company’s three regions. This aligns with Haldane Group’s dedication to fostering positive change within the communities it serves, and supporting local initiatives that make a lasting impact.

Haldane Fisher England, GE Robinson and Prowood will partner with CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) for the incoming year. Chosen following completion of the National 3 Peaks Challenge 2023 in aid of the charity, it was a collective decision between colleagues to continue the support.

CALM provides vital suicide prevention services to those in need and offers helpline and webchat services 365 days a year, with practical suggestions for all of life’s problems, helping people to begin to look to the future.

Haldane Fisher Northern Ireland has partnered with MacMillan Cancer Support for 2024, as selected by colleagues in the region.

Macmillan Cancer Support provides specialist health care, information, and financial support to people affected by cancer.  It also looks after the social, emotional, and practical impact cancer can have, and campaigns for better cancer care.

David Haldane, Executive Director at Haldane Group, commented:

“We are very excited to be officially supporting multiple charities in 2024.

People have different charities that they would like to support so we thought it only right to give our colleagues the voice to choose who we, as a company, should support across the regions we operate in.

Throughout the year we will hold various fundraising initiatives, such as spin-a-thons and sponsored walks to raise money for our chosen charities and to raise awareness of the meaningful work they do.

I look forward to seeing and taking part in these events throughout the year for such worthwhile causes.”

In addition to supporting CALM and Macmillan Cancer Support; Key Hardware, one of Ireland’s leading wholesale distributors of architectural ironmongery and builder’s hardware products will partner with the Children’s Heartbeat Trust, with Haldane Fisher Isle of Man continuing to support multiple initiatives local to their branches.

These partnerships contribute to Haldane Group’s wider commitment to community development which saw the business donate in excess of £15,000 to charitable causes in 2023.

Haldane Group serves both trade and the general public, with 22 branches across England, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man supplying over 13,000 products across 800 brands.
