Medium Density Fibreboard or MDF is made from wood fibres glued under heat and pressure. It is dense, flat, stiff, has no knots and is easily machined. As it is made up of fine particles, it does not have an easily recognisable surface grain and can therefore be painted to produce a smooth quality surface, can be cut, drilled, machined and filed without damaging the surface.
An extremely versatile product which continues to be popular within industries and DIY enthusiasts. We offer a wide variety of thicknesses and sheet sizes in both standard and moisture resistant grades. MDF is a popular DIY product suitable for a variety of end uses such as furniture manufacture and shop fitting. All our MDF is environmentally certified and EUTR (European Union Timber Regulation) compliant.
