GE Robinson has announced its first acquisition in Yorkshire having recently completed the purchase of Craven Timber (Batley) Ltd, based in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire. GE Robinson, part of the Haldane Shiells Group, is one of the UK’s leading timber importers supplying timber to the trade since 1914; importing from locations across the globe to their sites in Salford and Walsall. GE Robinson & Co Ltd are delighted to announce we have boosted our efficiency with the addition of five more heavy duty Baumann sideloaders. The additions are the latest in a relationship with Baumann stretching back to 2012 when GE Robinson ordered an initial seven Baumann GX50 5-tonne sideloaders.   The sideloaders were recommended by Industrial Truck Services (ITS), who have supplied and maintained materials handling equipment for GE Robinson for over 15 years. “We have experienced seasonal peaks, but output has remained strong this year,” said Paul Kavanagh, operations director at GE Robinson. “We’re currently 15% up compared to last…
