CLS, or Canadian Lumber Standard, is a planed structural softwood section commonly used for internal framing, partitioning and timber frame construction. It is typically manufactured from Spruce, Pine or Fir and supplied with eased edges for safer handling and a clean, uniform finish.
CLS is popular with UK trades because it is lightweight, easy to work, dimensionally consistent and suitable for a wide range of non-exposed structural and construction applications.
Typical uses: timber frame construction, internal stud walls, partitions, framing, general site work and modular building.
