HT, or heat treated timber, is widely used for packing cases, pallets, crates and export packaging where compliance with international movement requirements is needed. The timber is usually produced from softwood species such as Spruce, Pine or Fir and is heat treated in accordance with ISPM 15 requirements for wood packaging material.
Heat treatment reduces the risk of pests being transported in timber packaging and allows suitable material to be stamped for export use. It is a practical, trade-focused product for manufacturers, packers, freight companies and businesses producing timber packaging for domestic and international shipping.
HT packing case material is generally supplied sawn or machined to specification and can be provided in a range of sections, lengths and board sizes depending on the intended packaging application.
Typical uses: packing cases, export crates, pallets, pallet collars, dunnage, stillages, timber packaging, shipping supports and general packing material.
