Glulam, or glued laminated timber, is an engineered structural timber product made by bonding layers of strength-graded timber together. It is usually manufactured from softwood species such as Spruce or Pine, although other species may also be used.
Glulam provides excellent strength, stability and design flexibility, allowing large sections, long spans and curved or bespoke structural forms. It is widely used in both residential and commercial timber construction.
Typical uses: beams, columns, portal frames, roof structures, feature trusses, bridges, commercial buildings, schools, leisure buildings and large structural projects.
